About Katie

"People don't need more information. They need their brain to stop making the change so hard."

— Katie Faloon-Drew

Katie Faloon-Drew is a Behaviour Change Expert, keynote speaker, bestselling author and executive coach who helps people close the gap between knowing and doing.

With a Master’s in Health Psychology, neuroscience training from Harvard Medical School, and years of coaching experience, Katie brings deep expertise to a very human problem: most people know what they should do.. but struggle to make change stick, especially when life gets busy.

Katie shows audiences that lasting change takes more than knowledge, motivation, and dedication. It starts with understanding how the brain works. With humour and real-life examples, she gives people simple tools to work with their brains and change the habits and patterns holding them back, so they can feel better, lead confidently, and perform at their best.

For 20+ years, Katie has applied behaviour change science across health policy and workplace wellbeing, including as Senior Advisor for Workplace Wellness and Mental Health at Health Canada. She has spoken at the White House and across North America.

Official Bio

Hi I’m Katie!

I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed and stuck at level 11 on life’s treadmill, knowing what you ā€œshouldā€ be doing but barely keeping yourself afloat while supporting everyone else. You can be happy with your life and still not feel good in it.

In my mid-30s, I had worked hard to achieve everything on the outside, but I felt miserable on the inside. I burned out and went on mental health leave when my youngest son was two.

That was my wake-up call. I started focusing on what actually made me feel vibrant, mentally, physically, and emotionally. I wanted to enjoy this precious life and show up as my best self for my kids, my family, my work, and me.

Along the way, I realized I wasn’t lacking knowledge, motivation, or dedication. I had never learned how my brain created habits and patterns, or how to work with it to change them.

Once I did, things started to shift. I had more energy, confidence, presence, and capacity to enjoy the life I had worked so hard to build.

That experience sparked my passion for helping other high achievers understand their brains and create lasting change without adding more pressure to already full plates.

I’ve learned that when you feel energized, confident, present, and well, you don’t just feel better. You lead better, perform better, and actually enjoy the life you’re working so hard to build.

Professional Bio

Katie Faloon-Drew is the founder and CEO of Healthy Confident You, a bestselling author, Habit Change Expert, keynote speaker, and executive coach who helps high-performing professionals close the gap between knowing and doing — finally following through on the habits, decisions, and changes that move their lives and careers forward, without adding more pressure to already-full plates.

With a Master's of Science in Health Psychology, a B.S. in Human Kinetics, certifications in Neuroscience Coaching, Mental Fitness Coaching, and Motivational Interviewing, neuroscience of leadership training from Harvard Medical School and more than 20 years inside the science and practice of behaviour change, Katie delivers a message backed by neuroscience and lived experience: the reason most people can't follow through on what they already know would change their lives isn't laziness, lack of willpower, or a character flaw… It's that almost no one was ever taught how their brain and the science of habit change actually work. Once they are, change stops being a willpower fight, it becomes doable, often immediately.

Katie has spoken at the White House and across the keynote stages of some of North America's most recognized organizations, including KPMG, Ernst & Young, EllisDon, Minto, FMI, PIPSC, PSAC, and the Department of National Defence. Her keynotes routinely draw audiences of 500 or more, with attendee feedback scores event organizers have called "among the highest we've seen for a concurrent session, with rave reviews." Past clients describe her on stage as "genuine, funny, informative, and instantly relatable", a speaker whose presence pairs neuroscience and lived experience with a refreshing refusal to be preachy.

Before going full-time as a speaker and coach, Katie served as Senior Advisor for Workplace Wellness and Mental Health at Health Canada, where she helped shape government-level strategy on workplace mental health and large-scale behaviour change programming. That background, paired with 17 years of corporate public health leadership prior to her advisory role, informs every engagement she takes today, with a systems-level understanding of how complex organizations actually function.

Katie is also the founder of the Healthy Confident You Collective, an ongoing membership for women rebuilding habits, energy, and confidence together. Her 1:1 executive coaching practice serves senior leaders, founders, and high-performing teams across Canada and the United States.

She lives in Ottawa, Canada, with her funny maritimer hubby and two busy teen boys.

Katie brought energy, professionalism, and a truly tailored approach to our session. She created an engaging environment where everyone felt included and inspired, and her interactive style kept the room invested from start to finish. We highly recommend Katie to organizations seeking a facilitator who delivers meaningful and lasting impact.
